The Diagnostic Imaging team at SBLFCH brings years of experience and compassion to patient care that includes mammograms, X-rays, CTs and DEXA scans.

In addition to basic X-ray imaging, RF imaging can also be used to provide fluoroscopy examinations such as: 

  • Upper GI studies
  • Barium speech swallows
  • Small bowel examinations
  • Barium enema examinations
  • Arthrograms 
  • Joint injections

CT - Computerized Tomography

Our 64 slice CT by GE is available 24 hours per day servicing the Emergency Department, inpatient and outpatient.

MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging includes the variable protocols, MR Angiography, and 3D Reconstruction.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is available each:
  • Tuesdays - 3 to 7:30 pm
  • Wednesdays - 7 to 11 am
  • Fridays - 3:30 to 8:30 pm

Ultrasound

SBLFCH offers diagnostic imaging of organs, vessels, and fluid accumulations within the body. We also provide non-invasive vascular service including carotid duplex, deep vein thrombosis examinations, and high resolution Doppler imaging.

  • We use ultrasound guidance for biopsys including breast biopsy's, thyroid, and lymph nodes.
  • (FNA) Fine Needle Biopsys and Core biopsy's can also be performed. 
  • Carotid Doppler Studies
  • Peripheral Vascular Doppler Studies
  • Echocardiograms
  • Abdominal, neck, OB and various other ultrasound exams are available 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Vascular services are provided 1 pm to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Adult and pediatric imaging available. 


Dexa

A DEXA scan is used to measure bone density by passing a high and low energy X-ray beam through the body, usually in the hip and the spine. Osteoporosis causes more than 8.9 million fractures annually and early detection is key to keeping people safe. The scan takes 10 to 20 minutes to complete and is painless. SBLFCH uses the Horizon DXA, by Hologic.

Digital Mammography

3D mammography technology scan is offered at Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital. The system is designed to provide the highest quality 3D images for radiologists to interpret and a more comfortable mammography experience for patients. We provide screening and diagnostic mammography services fully accredited by the State (MQSA), FDA, and ACR. To schedule a Digital Mammogram call 618-283-5466.

Nuclear Medicine

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday mornings starting 8 am.


PET/CT

PET/CT Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Computed Tomography (CT) is offered on Wednesdays from 3 to 6:30 pm. Call 618-283-5466 to schedule an appointment.
