SBL Fayette County Hospital

Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital is expanding its diagnostic imaging tools by using a new Radiography/Fluoroscopy (RF) Imaging Room.

The new RF room allows SBL FCH staff to provide a variety of examinations on people of all ages. The room features a brand-new GE Precision CRF Radiography and Fluoroscopy system, which is a low-dose machine that provides excellent image quality.

Basic X-ray imaging is available in this room, but SBL FCH staff can also provide various fluoroscopy examinations, including: Upper GI studies, barium speech swallows, small bowel examinations, barium enema examination, arthrograms in joints, and joint injections.

“This new GE Precision RF imaging unit will provide the community with more accessibility, dependability and comfortability for all people,” Rena Myers, SBLFCH Imaging Services director, said.

Fluoroscopy imaging is only available on individuals from age 12 to adulthood. Currently, scheduling is available on Mondays and Fridays, between 8 and 11 am.
